Overview
Introduction of the Graphical Explorer to AVEVA E3D Design for model navigation and reference. The Graphical Explorer improves performance when rendering large models, with model elements loaded from a generated cache using AVEVA’s proprietary rendering framework.
The Graphical Explorer window displays a read-only 3D view that can be populated with elements from a Drawlist and manipulated (for example, zoom, pan, and rotate) in the same way as any other 3D view.
Note that the Graphical Explorer functionality is disabled if caches are not available for the project

Overview
This release introduces the ability to import trained machine learning models with Microsoft ML.NET Models into AVEVA PML via a PMLNETCALLABLE Object. Import of a Microsoft ML.NET Model can be executed from the Model module user interface, via the Machine Learning button in the Developer tab.

3.1.5.0 / Supports
Overview
Enable the positioning of supports in relation to specific orthogonal plane directions. This feature is only applicable to sloping pipes. This enhancement is particularly useful for precisely locating a support on sloping lines in relation to other modelled items, for example alignment along plane and alignment in horizontal plane of items.

3.1.5.0 / Structural
Overview
Enhancements to the existing End Datum Connection functionality allowing the connection of a Section to a plate or floor. New Connect to Panel option has been added to the End Datum option in the Connections group.
A connection is created by setting the Connection Reference (CONREF) attribute of the End Datum (ENDATU) to the panel/floor element reference. If the section is at an angle to the plane, the Cutting Plane (CUTP) attribute of the fixing will be set to ensure the beam is flat to the plane. The specification form is then prompted to allow the selection of a specification.
After connecting to a panel, the panel element will have the End Reference Array (ENDRFA) attribute set to any ENDATU elements which are connected.

3.1.4.0 / Space Management
Overview
The new Space Management application in AVEVA E3D Design introduces the capability to create Functional Arrangements, Space Arrangements, Area Arrangements and Curve Arrangements.
Space Arrangements, such as Compartment or Zone Arrangements, provide essential design information with volumetric representation for Ship or other type of projects which also enables 3D Coordination capability for a project.
Space can be used to collect all Hull and Outfitting model elements fully or partially within the space and run Partial Mass Property calculations for Weight, Volume and Area which can be output as a report.

Overview
The Rule Manager of AVEVA E3D Design allows administrators to configure logical rules for a project. These rules can be executed as design elements are created, automatically setting attributes and properties; speeding up the design process, reducing errors, and ensuring that created elements are compliant with relevant standards and design intent. In this release, the Rule Manager can be used to create rules for design properties of structural joints, fittings, and design templates. More applications of the Rule Manager are planned for introduction in the future.

Overview
The new MultiCAD feature for AVEVA E3D Design enables the import and processing of files from over 30 different CAD software systems, including AutoCAD, Creo, Solidworks, and Revit, into an AVEVA E3D Design model database. Import of CAD files using the MultiCAD feature can be executed either; directly from the model module user-interface via the Interfaces tab, or from the command line or a PML Object, including in batch mode.

3.1.4.0 / Work Packs
Overview
This release introduces the concept of Work Packs to AVEVA E3D Design. Work Packs enable designers to think and plan for the installation and construction of the project very early on in the design phase, creating practical, staged Work Packs of design elements for construction teams. Visual Queries are a key feature introduced by the Work Packs application. Visual Queries allow model content to be intuitively viewed in 3D, with different visual properties according to selected criteria.
