Using a gateway for 3D data handles the geometric data of 3D models and also integrates associated metadata. This includes information about components, materials, specifications, and relationships, providing a comprehensive view of the asset.

With this update, AVEVA expands the range of supported 3D file formats and can cover all major model types being used in the industry (from AutoCAD 3D to IFC, PCF, MicroStation 3D). This integration allows users to load these files directly into AVEVA Asset Information Management, facilitating easy viewing and management of complex 3D models.
