Karl has a M.Eng and B.Eng. in Materials Engineering from McGill University with over 16 years of experience working in the extractive metallurgical industry. He joined Agnico Eagle in 2009 as part of Technical Services where he worked on various economic studies and test work programs. He transferred to Meadowbank in 2013 first as project metallurgist, then took on the role of senior metallurgist leading the team responsible for process optimization and troubleshooting. He joined the Innovation group in 2022 as Metallurgy Subject Matter Expert working on digitalization initiatives, continuing in this role after transfering to Digital Transformation in 2024.
