Saipem: EPC DIGITAL PLATFORM PROJECT
The EPC DIGITAL PLATFORM PROJECT has been undertaken by Saipem to bring core operative processes, from the Bid Phase of a project up to the EPC execution and handover to Clients, into a digital integrated environment. It aims to lay down the foundations of an operative digital transformation by streamlining a Digital Standardization of the Dataset and Data Model and by mapping with integrated approach key business processes. It improves project control across the full EPC chain, integrating the Engineering, Procurement and Construction processes. It increases the efficiency of Engineering detail design and the automation of material quantities generation.

Giuseppe Trefiletti
Giuseppe Trefiletti is the Head of Instrumentation, Control and Telecommunication Engineering department. He started his career, as control system engineer, in Saipem in 2007. Spending more than 12 years in Instrumentation, Control and Telecommunication Engineering department, he experienced energy plants development from design phase up to construction and commissioning ones; in 2019 he moved to Technology Innovation function as Digital Transformation Manager, believing that digital transformation is the right leverage to push innovation, improving existing work-processes and opening up new business opportunities. The deployment of digital solutions represents an enabling factor for traditional Energy products to target the reduction of CO2 footprint and maximize profit. At the beginning of 2024 he moved back in Instrumentation, Control and Telecommunication Engineering department as HoD.
